We are writing to share with you our exciting journey and mission behind the creation of "Lid Loonies." It all began after a recent surf trip to Sumatra, where three mates with a shared passion for bodyboarding, who have been friends for 30 years, decided to take a step further in promoting our beloved sport. Growing up in a tough neighbourhood, we understand the value of having a positive outlet and a supportive community. Bodyboarding has been more than just a hobby for us; it has been a source of solace, joy, and inspiration throughout our lives. We believe that every child deserves to find their passion and feel supported in pursuing it, regardless of their background. Through "Lid Loonies," we aim to promote bodyboarding not just as a sport but as a way of life. We want to share the stoke and excitement that comes with riding the waves, inspire the next generation of bodyboarders, and install hope in those who may feel like their circumstances limit their potential. Having come from humble beginnings ourselves, we see this platform as an opportunity to give back to the sport that has given us so much. By sharing our journey, experiences, and lessons learned, we hope to not only spread awareness about bodyboarding but also to create a supportive community where individuals feel seen, valued, and believed in.
